hi life's still pretty damn insane and i mean this in a good way haha sometimes i think it really doesnt take much to get me all.. intoxicated on air hahahha can you tell that the weekend was pretty nutso and i've trippy music on now so i may not sound very coherent but HERE GOES

ended the work week with happy hour haha acd was easily the loudest department around haha so o k free food and beer check aka giggly happy friday people check aka why we are excused for camwhoring with the almighty kok kom's divine crystal eye hahaha soon after which was holland v with the 411ers/shao's farewell dinner :~(

fast forward to saturday evening where wilson rachel and i went for the freaking reverse bungee hahahhah so that saw us getting catapulted into midair and the ball did some flip before they had us suspended and being all anti gravity haha it was over so quickly but that was probably the closest i'll get to feeling weightlessness so thx wilson for the treat!!! then supperclub after with a whole bunch of people melly and i kinda ended up twirling around and hanging with the ntu bunch/future teachers hahaha which turned out pretty fun and especially cos i was sober enough to realise how hungry some people were because they were certainly eating their partners faces up rather voraciously hahahaha

work has successfully kicked my life into some kind of routine and its possibly also the reason why the holidays seem to be. .....ending? ? ? no joke last i checked we're 2/3 into june so this means that school's starting and the most unsettling bit of it all is that so many of my close friends will be leaving singapore in a few months time. l ol shit life's been going pretty good cos i've so much fun at work plus i've great colleagues and generally good things have been happening but truth is the thought of college and being far apart from people i love and etc etc seems so massive sometimes ... so damn massive that i'm listening to dcfc at night again ha hahaha

okay easy on the emo. . time for some major updates wrt good things in life haha the other laptop's down so pictures will be up next time here's some word spam instead

1 as much as work is a time sucking creature i actually enjoy it a whole lot!! mostly because there's melly and noreen so every day feels like a party haha and i'm gonna try help out with the games in august if i can squeeze time out because the idea of meeting people from all over the world is pretty fantastic. cant wait to see _'s brows in real life theyre so freaking thick and .. .. singular its incredible (edit: just realised that i already talked about unibrows in my previous entry hahaha further proof of how incredible they are)

2 wrt uni i've finally made up my mind gone with my heart etc etc after so much uncertainty come august i'll be heading to fass + usp!!!! to be a full fledged arts/social science student as i should have been in jc ha ha ha if this is going to be the last few years of studenthood then it ought to be enjoyed . . plus usp is definitely a draw :~)

3 going into guilt overdrive right now because i spent a bomb shopping today hahahahahaha its so hard to shake myself of my conscience sometimes but thats probably because i've been spending an inordinate amount of money almost every weekend its sick and im not even done........... hah haha die. okay resolution 1: cab less. a chauffeur boyfriend would be good though if i somehow manage to be blessed with powers of teleportation that'd be way more fantastic and muchly appreciated hahahaha

spent yesterday laughing at unibrows and creating haikus for noreen under the disguise of her kok kom but after office hours are when things really get alive again.. last night was one of the pretty heartwarming nights i had out of all the weekday evenings i spent out the past 2 weeks. it wasnt anything majorly different- the history girls got together for dinner (even though we just saw each other last week. and on saturday. but anyway) we talked about life back in hwachong and happenings we never knew of and ..boys. at the rate my girl friends are getting attached imma say there arent gonna be many of us single creatures out there anymore hahahahhaha

and guess what guys being in an office all day long has made me gain weight which is pretty ridiculous considering that i didnt gain any from hongkong haahahhaha no shit YOGA @ 730 TOMORROW k thx. updates on.........the past few weeks!!!!!!! will be up super soon i just've to find the time. in the meanwhile decipher this hahahah this is why i lub you v

i look like i've got two mega long dog ears (its called long hair) in the above photo well those faux ears are now non-existent!!!! because the weather's been a bitch death 2 humidity i got so fed up with my hair and the weather and my hair and the weather and the heat and my hair i got it lopped off after work

updates on hongkong soon work has been okay save for the hill we've to climb up every morning EVERY DAY I WISH TO TELEPORT you've no idea how badly i've been hoping for it haha. and boss was right about how there's no other job around singapore right now that's quite like ours ie i see african faces on a daily basis and we probably've access to pictures of teenage kids from all over the world hahahaa amusing mug shots eg half naked canadian boys or spock kid also make work a lot more fun. gurgles

but fact still remains that an office job is much of a time sucking and energy expanding creature. these days i find myself hoping for more time to myself and time to.... read the papers and to do up my birthday and hongkong posts hahaha. if there's anything i'm afraid of it's that all the time we're gonna've before university starts will be spent in monotony so okay here's to not becoming an office bore and/or blob especially with the nonstop snacking that we engage in at work :@ i've also used the word time 4 times in the last few sentences and ha this makes it 5.5

dont remember ever living any other march. or feb or jan this way but i quite like how things are going: i work part time at this cafe-restaurant for fun and i've been meeting new people almost every other day and i get a tremendous kick out of this yay if you want examples there's noa the korean dj who played at the mosaic fest last sat he who ALSO HAPPENS TO BE the mighty erlend oye's friend i got so excited hahahaha o btw i owe this space a koc update more on that super soon when i get all my photos sorted out erlend wasnt very friendly to us but he's still an amazing musician!! i want a boy who dances like him. and of course we get tourists like the austrians on sat who were transiting in singapore for a night before their flight back home. they had beer in the morning and wore raincoats in it was adorable.. and then there was the dangerously drunk looking lady who looked like she was gonna burp in my face omg hahahahahahaha and if you really would care to know there's only been one cute boy so far whose bashfulness i find so endearing :-) iype doesnt agree with me though ahhaha

so we're into the last few days of march and then it'll be april and this also means..... that it's party time!!! because this is my last teenage year and because i can i'm gonna've friends over we're going to play some amazing music i'll introduce them to the wonders of the whitest boy alive amongst other current favourites on my itunes there'll be streamers and confetti strewn over the floor there'll be lots of colour at this party and lazy fun with my favourite people/people i just miss having around. take photos of everything and everyone before some of my closest friends fly off to another continent this september :( sleepover for the same bunch last year, we'll drink some i'll get red we'll've the tv on maybe rewatch the oc again just for old times' sake, take more photos of our 18/19 year old selves, listen to the radio dept because they're coming to town!! and then fall asleep on the sofa, in the sleeping bag under the fan. go to sleep feeling incredibly loved and wake up knowing it wasnt a dream. as for now everything is tentative so x fingers this realises!!!!

today i woke at 6 to texts from the army boys read the papers then went back to sleep at 8 got up at 3 had lunch at 4 and dinner at 530 and about 21 pieces of wang wang 1 orange juice 1 apple and 1 plum hahahahha dude before working the night shift (again). i suppose i get a lot of smiles and nice conversations out of working at fft but to be honest i'm quite tired of being in a uniform l ol sometimes i just want to do yoga and learn how to meditate and be underwater

pretty damn intense 3 days and once again everything seems to've passed in a blur but i do know that i had the best time just hanging with new old friends and people that i care for on a regular basis ::::::::) dude these days im just bursting with joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does that annoy you heaheheheah

kicked sunday off with a morning yoga session with chew chew and melly yoga might just be one of the best things of 2010 -- i love how i feel so drugged up once i settle into the lesson like how my eyelids get so heavy i do everything with my eyes half closed hahahhaaa its just like living through a 90 minute dream directed by jordan. so awesome. and then spending the rest of the day contemplating if i should go check changi out with iype and co but i was too afraid hahahahahaaaaaaa. hung with xavier in the evening instead

monday the hist kids hit chinatown just seeing them 4 made me feel so happi inside god i sound ridiculous haha then work at fft the q t i served really turned out to be my brothers friend who was supposed to tutor me last year hah hahha hha no joke and does anyone even know what peppermint is in chinese because my first customers were from china and i had to speak mandarin. at least it wasnt half bad!!

and then coming back from the class party last night feeling like i was gonna burst at the seams with love i could like freaking feel joy just pouring out from my ears hahaha hey and we had all 23 of us there that's quite a feat right.. spent the hours before that with vernon just hanging by the river: me taking his jibes and him being a great listener as always and playing the bombpenis game hahahahahaha so glad we're still tight wuv you v anyway he later became our handyman at the class party more photos of everything here

hi guys life has been incredibly chill and exciting at the same time and i love how january's been such a neat start to the year :> i've been meeting new people hanging with my constants dancing like an idiot and being all zen-like from hot yoga haha not too congruent but i suppose there's always space for some dissonance sometimes.. .. and work at fft starts soon i'm just thrilled to be part of something new plus everyone there is so warm and friendly a aaa

midweek zouk with the biggest group so far haha but almost everyone wanted phuture and hong only came on at velvet so late haha WHY GUYS WHY and apparently the bouncers kept coming into the crowd because there were fights to break up and one of our friends got punched which is just so senseless!! and there were several lol moments hahahahah dont ask me why i notice the weirdest things..... but fascinating anyway like this freestyling punk who got the shuffle pat down with lots of dragonball z handmoves thrown in ahahahhahah so awesome

havent got a diary for 2010 yet but at least i note down what i do with my time/people i spend my days with which is very important because sometimes my days and nights get blurred into each other and at least there's something to help me recall all that ive been doing before everything washes over like a wave/the party crashes on us but things are good now.. this pretty much feels like a dream that i'm not ready to end

back from the gep chalet with less than a fifth of a voice left i blame it on the senseless shrieking wednesday night haha anyway kudos to charissa for putting this together!!!!! basically it was all about having comforting faces around sufen's right some things just dont change.. in a good way of course. anyway the teachers joined us for the bbq and after the others left we played the circle of death o god i am indeed your azn glow girl~ this might have been the reddest i've ever been possibly cos i felt like i had a second heart right in my head haha tru story

had an extremely informative lunch the next day hahahaha we've to write all of it down before we forget all of the nonsense we did in nanyang GOOD TIMES so glad i was in a girls school anyway its not as if we didnt've our own bunch of nanyang boys hahahahahah okay nevermind and then zouk/phuture at night with the girls we didn't exactly do the whole mambo thing cos we didnt know the moves but at least the music was so much better than last week's x256 though i got pretty annoyed with the pervy men and girls whose hair i almost ate that i started dancing with the wall hahahaha wtf anyway sorry/thanks boys for having to baby us. . all of this while the rest cycled 17.5km throughout the night

hi all i'm back from taiwan! but more on the trip later

i was flipping through my diary a few days back and saw the 'STAY ALIVE!!' which i got amy from stars to write on my calendar page so that i could be all *calendar girl* haahhaa and like 350 days later i suppose i've managed to stay alive though at the expense of i dont know, properly living out my 18th year of existence maybe because i dont quite recall what this year has been like haha i dont even remember the exact agony i felt when i had to study and cram and digest bits of everything for the sake of the mother of all exams aka the A levels but i guess thats okay.. hazy days

what remains clear though..: stars in jan, my 18th party in april thanks guys for coming much love, team hwachong, fencing, dealing with my inner demons, swimming, more swimming, getting too lazy for swimming, lasts: day of school and of being in a uniform, humility yet again, drifting away from some.. and staying close to those i'm counting to be friends for life, helplessly dreaming with my heart in all the wrong places, getting hooked on the oc haha i've yet to watch season 4!!, gravity v lightness, getting a lolcat, being closer to 65, cautiously dreaming of the future, a lot more hoping and holding out and then disappearing into baby galaxies and morning skies i sound like such a dreamer haha but hey, late night radio, THE END OF As, finishing a half marathon the day before prom that was thrilling haha and living through an earthquake at taiwan last week?? more on this soon

and as with every year, i'm hoping for strength and clarity for the new year and for everybody that matters to stay close. and hopefully in the next couple of months you'll be seeing me driving, diving, picking up yoga and maybe japanese and getting $$ to fund all of that somehow haha if 2009 turned out hazy i'm definitely not letting my 19th year to be the same so here's to a great 2010 you all!!

okay even idgi anymore hahahaha tell me again whats the point of having 2 blogs at the same time?? anyway .. . way overdue but here're photos from prom haha strangely being in heels kind of made my aches from the 21k slightly better. and i guess prom turned out pretty fun in the end even though 1) eyelash curling fail so i guess my small eyes are here to stay hahahaha 2) hair fail but that was fixed.. in the middle of the city hall train station hahahahah people were looking but thanks rachel for taming my unruly~ hair 3) clubbing fail because by the time we headed to rachel's place and then to helipad it was closed L O L so we had supper instead. i only grabbed 2 hours of sleep before zooming over to swissotel the morning after but everything felt nice and at least i got a bit of everyone that matters squeezed into those few hours so.. i guess all's good :> everything else here

this is pretty insane but i ended up going for the standard chartered marathon today with theo cos my brother couldnt make it so this means that i jogged/walked 21 FREAKING KILOMETRES TODAY hasdhfhahahahahahh my legs hurt like mad my butt's sore and my knees dont feel mine but hey so proud of myself haha I DID IT and congrats to everyone who finished the 42km you guys are out of your minds but ive so much respect for you way 2 go guys!! shit scary seeing 2 people in shock though one girl fell and hit the floor her lips bled but it took her a while to actually regain consciousness like dude her eyes were open all the time but she wasnt present for a minute or two and apparently some guy collapsed about 100m before the finishing line :(

and what i found so inspiring/touching about the marathon was seeing this full marathoner push this person in a wheelchair for the entire distance, and this dad who did the same for his twin babies in prams, seeing everyone press on some aunties were way ahead of me okay hows that..and oh there were a lot of uncles but even more h o t guys hahahaha

okay now tell me how i'm going to be in my heels tomorrow for prom i dont even know how i'm gonna get out of bed hahaha ha ha good luck to us. and yesterday at the giants must fall gig missing gino where the rain kinda ruined things a little

cant quite recall what happened the past week just that i went out every single freaking day hahaha and when i finally got some time alone at home today i got bored ha ha what i do remember though: traipsing around chinatown with eehong and mellyeo before we got lost on our way to city hall hahahahahaha lose and then meeting chin and sending her off to acs's prom, random hanging with the 411 girls/melly and chin/noreen and sufen/amandas and theo aka craziest most spontaneous person around check facebook for tarzan like photos of her, dinner at some brazilian place where we saw chefs show off their violin playing skills with knives and slabs of meat haha chicken hearts are actually pretty tasty btw no kidding blah blahb lah and finally getting my prom dress everyone's spending so much money/time on it that it doesn’t make much sense but guess whatttt i wont be in black/grey/navy blue for once!! ideally i would be wearing my universe pants but they're impossible to find so lets just hope that i'll be able to eat without my tummy showing during prom hahhahaha

01 finally got the last baby galaxy posted out to russ haha so this is what the whole project was about: a few weeks back i had blingsoundz and people whom i owe a mixtape to email me a favourite photo of theirs.. and in the weeks that followed i put together a mix for them, had their favourite photos developed + group photos of blingsoundz circa 2007 from lifeskills camp days to standing in middle of bugis with shiny masks days and finally got round to giving them out last week haha hope it was a nice surprise for you all and those who're a baby galaxy richer now.. i can't really define how 2008 has been for me i.e. i cant tell if it's been a good or bad year, it's just been this huge mix of both.. i know a few things though: that my superstar regret of the year or maybe the whole of my jc life was to take chemistry and not lit, being a hybrid student is not cool o k. i know i shouldn't be harping on about this but well things could be a whole lot different if i had listened to my dad but well. and that what really matters is keeping the people that matter close and knowing who the rocks in your life are so thanks for being there friends, heart heart sparkle star etc, sending much xxxx

this year i've also learnt about humility

so this was 2008: the street team (i'm not a sucker for switchfoot songs but i find comfort in the fact that they remind me of being a freshman), orientation, apcg/john tang madness and some serious azn pride, being at gigs (broken social scene!! gig of the year, mum, sf, salad days III, rom, deathcab, boyz like girlz ha ha), getting holy mother of the mary sea dengue in my blood, fencing, having a one day fling with my china farmer lover boy haha, hurdles that i haven't crossed/didnt cross/couldnt cross, lying down and talking with the best of friends, drifting in and out of druggie mode and then being all hippie the next now everyone thinks i need a band around my head to keep it together haha, rolling around on grass, studying with friends, being afraid/unafraid, and getting some true blue new zealand goodness oh boy highlight of the year no doubt. but honestly the thing i'll remember most about 2008 is probably about being seventeen, which is this.. semi-magical feeling of being at the brink of something greater but not quite.

so the new year's in 15 minutes, stars in 7 days, and year 2 in 12 o m g. may i have strength and clarity (as is the same for every year), and will for the 2009 o k so here we go MAY WE ALL STAY ALIVE IN THE NEW YEAR

going back to nanyang always feels so right and comfortable i dont know how much i can say hc is a second home for me but ny definitely was and i guess that's why we even bother going back in the first place.. the best part of camp was feeling so at ease with the batch and the rest of council ah it's just really heartening to see how things come back full circle even after a year i am just so thankful for having the best batchmates i could ever have xoxooxxxxx and with so much more love spilling all over the edges for you all ew so mushy but at least this is one of the few things i know i've done right in my short seventeen years of life so far:

so here's the whole and here's the part of it:

new zealand is officially one of the most beautiful places on earth.. ... . .. there's so much about it that i miss: the stars that plaster every bit of the sky, the sunsets omg colour parade colour parade, waves that you can actually ride, and the weather was so perfect!! beats singapore's hands down anytime. and everything else of course: having everyone so close by, talking late into the night with the girls every night/with the boys on the overnight expedition, our really fashion forward stripey thermals, anti-gravity moments on the trampoline, getting tips from fabian on how to pick mr astronomy up hehehe thanks master, speed shopping in the streets of auckland, coping with the darkness once the lights went off, and omg snorkelling was so dreamlike it made me feel like i was just bubbling my way through the folds of my brain haha total ace, watching mr biceps of fury/quads of doom work his wonders hahaha, and being li man because i.. am.. STRONG WOMAN. and everything everything everything else

omg okay stupid boomerang is back melly your prophetic soul is right i was too paranoid ^^ and now that amandas is india haus (those at australia are still stinking it up down under though. congrats liza, by today you would probably have lived through a week without bathing and being extremely gleeful about it) yay things shall be OK even if i'm only halfway through term paper II and rotting at home taking care of my chicken pox sister and being deprived of human interaction. no problem this is ttly dealable i just need to step it up!!!! and then it's intensive fencing training next week before we set off to the land of kiwis come saturday. apparently we'll be jumping off a cliff into the open sea?? no kidding i used to think i wouldn't be afraid of anything but i think someone'll've to push me off before i get anywhere near the sea*

good day all i'm 4/5 through the first cycle of my exercise regime and all's good except for my back as always and the arch on my foot, which is really queer?? and guess what we went to the gym today for nz training and it was total boys territory (complete with smell if you sniff hard enough) haha we felt like total noobs surrounded by all the machines. swimming is really empowering though ha they didnt call me little mermaid back then for nothing >) i love how it feels when my entire body uncurls till i'm simply floating on my back or when my ears are just under the surface amplifying every sound or when i try to feel what its like to be dead and weightless. and sometimes i secretly think i'm some sea creature and try to grab louise's foot or something underwater hahaha O K . ..

about promos- dismal results so far except for history well blame's all on myself for not having studied hard enough/starting too late gosh i really've to pull my act together. i believe i'm better than this. yeah okay fullstop, not going to wallow in self pity here because there's been too much of that going around lately and it's starting to get under my skin
